i bought a non-running pocket rocket for parts. The rear monoshock attached to my motorbike seat nicely.

The shock attaches to the seat with a standard seat clamp (same as at the seat post).
At the lower end that connects to the bike frame, I cut a shallow, v-shaped notch into the bottom of the shock.
The notch fits across the frame cross piece to limit fore and aft movement and supports the rider weight. Side to side movement
is limited by the seat clamp on top of the shock. The frame cross piece is padded with a little with handlebar tape to
prevent scratching. Two large zip ties secure the shock to the frame cross piece. Low tech stuff.

The faux oil tank is was made from a tin that contained tea bags. I keep a small bottle of 2 stroke oil in the tin in case I have to fuel up at a gas station.
