My 50's Hawthorne project

This will be my first build. Nothings bolted on right now, but I wanted a pic of all the bits in one place.

I've discovered that those rims are useless to me and need to find different ones that I can actually find tires for.

good start. what size are the rims? Hawthorn's I don't think ever had funky sizing like Schwinn.

They are 24 inch rims but the actual bead seat diameter is 547 mm. They might not be the original rims then because according to the Sheldon Brown site, a Schwinn s-5 would fit.
