yeah, after i built up the bike, i'm kinda liking the stock fork in the end.... i think i'll leave it on...

well, i finally took her out for a once around the block..... almost killed myself!, the first 3 minutes were ok...but after that...every rotation felt like i was pedalling uphill........ i now believe these 3" wide tires are for bikes with more than 1 speed....... plus these 140 spoked wheels do weigh in heavier than the stockers.
i even replaced the stock 18 tooth with a 20T rear sproket.... still felt like riding uphill on flat ground....

didn't think that heavier wheels made such a great difference...

anyone here commute regularly on 3" wide tires? whats your setup like... gearing etc.

do you think using regular 36 spoke 24" rims instead of the 140s would make a great difference? i really like these fat tires but i want to actually ride this bike.
