Those Sturmey Archer Coaster Brake 3 Speeds can be Sketchie.

They where not The Safest Rear Coaster Brakes..
I have heard of them Busting appart inside...

but even at that...it's a Great Deal and a Cool Looking Bike as a Rat,
or Left alone.

wadda bout the newr ones? my cruiser 4 is a nexus, but the 07 cruiser 3 has a S/A 3 speed coaster.

as far as the bike goes, i wouldnt think twice bout buyin it for $35

I have had Bad Luck with The Old Coaster Sturmeys 3 speeds..
and I bougt a New Schwinn from a Department store thinking I would use
the S/A 3 Speed coaster on a Rat Bike...

I rode it around the Parking lot for 10 Minutes after I bought it...
and went Back inside and Got my Money Back.

Just my experience...
But I won't run anything but a Shimano Nexus now.

I like that generation of sturmey hub. It's well worth the 35 dollar price.

It's the 60's version that should be avoided.
