Just bought 2 more oldies- please help me id

Acquired these two old war horses last night. They have been spray painted, modified and have no
head badges. I am new to collecting (this makes my second and third bike) - and have
would appreciate any help regarding manufacturer/model so I can begin figuring out
how they should look. Thanks!

black one looks Monark and the other is CWC

They are some Frankenbikes , wrong parts everywhere . The Black frame is Monark . Great finds none the less .

They ARE frankenbikes!, but I thought they needed a good home.
They have been in almost constant use/modification for a long while.
A man a little means but much creativity was using them as his primary
mode of transport.

Thanks for your responses. Is there a serial number database for CWC available so
I could narrow down a year? Does the rear facing drop-out/screw always mean pre-war?
Why on earth would anyone "stretch" a bike?

I think that stretched frame is cool. Likely he did to get more utility out of it (fit larger things on the rack).

The dropouts place the red cwc frame around 46-47, post the serial number and it can be decoded

The serial number on the CWC frame (red bike) is B84176 with no A or Cw.
