I am looking for a fork like the ones on the cruisers in this post http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5069, to put on my 1962 Schwinn Typhoon, but have no idea where to start. If you could help me find a fork like this, I would really appreciate it

Tubular forks are what you are after.
If you don't plan to do any hardcore jumping and stuff your local bike shop can get some chrome forks like those for about $20.
Now if you want Schwinn chromoly forks from back in the day I've seen them fetch $80 on Ebay lately.

Yeah 26". I think if I just knew the right dimensions I could order something from a store online. I went to my LBS today to ask about a fork like the ones on those cruisers and they told me a straight fork would mess up my steering because it would change the caster angle too much and basically they couldn't help me out. That Cruiser frame doesn't look any different than my old Typhoon frame so I am thinking it will probably work just fine.
