Hawthorne Serial Number

Hi all,

I've been doing the preliminary restoration work on my bicycle and recently came accross the serial number. I'd previously identified it (at least I think I did!) as a 41 comet, but I'm curious what the serial number would bring me.

The number is 34508 and above is something I think said 14-5N but it's unclear.

P.S. I think it's Snyder manufactured as well, it has the fork.

The Snyder frames are the only ones with the 4 digit code, with the year in reverse. So yes, should be a 1941 frame. There was never any serial # info for Snyder, they shut down around 1976. But, the reverse year code seems to be accurate through the mid 50s. -Adam
