My Uncle Paul gave me this Schwinn Cruiser frame this weekend.

Wondering if the rear bridge weld is supposed to look like it does or if it's separating :?:

The bottom pic is definitely a lack of inert gas during the weld process. The gap at the bottom of the bar in the second pic looks like they didn't have the bar properly located over a hole in the seat stay. If there is a hole. Does it look crooked, high on the right?

what year is the frame? The straight tubular fork has fender tabs on the backside that my 84 Cruiser 5 doesn't.

looks to me it was made that way
since its a newer frame I think the Japanese quality is showing
cant wait to see it!

my 1980 cuiser has the flat bar style upperbrace, probly has to do with where it was made.

That's probably still solid. I name that hole "JB Weld".

looks like it would hold ok on its own to me, if in doubt smack with a hammer til it comes off, then youll know how well it would hold up :mrgreen:

leave billy mays out of it, only thing that guy knows how to do is tuck in his shirt, LOUD talk and trim his beard :lol:
