Mrs. jerrykr (Sheryl) and I loaded up the hybreds and headed over to Ft Worth to ride our favorite trails in Trinity Park, and along the Trinity River Levees. We estimate that we rode 25-30 miles round trip. It was a beautiful spring day, and we saw some new scenery for us on this ride. We saw only one cruiser, mostly we were passed by high speed road bikes, which is the norm for this trail. We like the slower pace of the hybreds with the 700c wheels. Maybe I'll have a couple of cruisers ready for the next ride. I'm working on them.
First stop. Some fuel (breakfast) for the riders.
Trailhead parking lot behind the new Radio Shack/TCJC College in downtown Ft. Worth.
Chesapeake Tower from Trinity Park
Nice wide trail along the Trinity, perfect for biking, walking, dogs, baby strollers, etc.
Ft Worth Zoo Miniature Train Ride - Everybody waved at the photographer.
Artsy/Fartsy reflection picture of the Chesapeake/Pier One Tower.
Trail goes under the Railroad Tracks
We saw lots of pretty Spring Flowers
Riding along the top of the river levee.
We saw drilling for Natural Gas in the Barnett Shale which pays for Chesapeakes beautiful building.
We saw man-made waterfalls
And we saw Ft Worth's only natural waterfall.
We saw goats.
And we saw family baseball in a park along the trail.
And we rode under a moving freight train on our way back to the trailhead.
Hope you enjoyed the ride!
