i disassembled an old bike that was beyond repair but kept a few things. one of the keepers was a coaster brake hub made in england, the brand is sperry (i think that's right) and it has a lil oil cap thingy. still works just needs rebuilt. are these compatible with rims from american or asian made bikes?
thanx

Should work fine. Sturmey Archers are English. Just make sure your spoke count is the same .

I have a Sturmey hub you can have free. Let me know if you want it, it's 3 speed freewheel, but might help if a part makes a run for it when you take it apart.

I have a few other English parts out in the "heap" also, free.

a 3 speed free wheel sounds way better on the next project than a coaster brake does, ill jump on that for sure! have you had any of the english hubs you have rebuilt? i wonder if the local bike shops would charge the same, i have no idea how to rebuild a hub, rick keeps tellin me to come by the shop but i keep losin time!
