courier bike????

the guy who gave me this bike said he thought it was a bike sold by sears at one time, and that it probably had baskets or the like on it originally. can anyone tell me about this bike? the frame is not put together well, it looks really cheap. the only thing on it that i think i can use is the rear rim. there arent any markings/stamps on the bottom bracket, and where a head badge would be (if it ever had one) someone has put some paint. fast eddie outty

You might be able to tell by the drop-outs, let me check it out.

Eddie check with Rick or Lance, but I think that is an old Hawthrone not Sears. I think I saw one at River market in gold, 1962 to 1966. Save the crank set and fork or swap meet it in July.
