Coaster 21 speed to single speed freewheel?

Hey guys, is this even possible? I know that the chainring side can be done, but sould it be possible to convert the rear cartridge to a single gear easily?

I've never dismantle one, but I assume that I could just put some spacers in there or something. Would it be easier to just find a single geared hub (freewheel or coaster would be fine).

It may be difficult to conver a cartridge style. They do, however, make single speed conversion kits for cassette style.
