I found a good kickstand and adjusted everything. I used every inch of blue cable housing. Now just the new chain and grips need to show up.

Ride vids from this morning. Other than the seat, everything was good and easy to ride.
The famous Alava Pier, where all the US and other Navies docked for port calls over the years.

Band brakes work best on 20" wheels. It stops on a dime.

I have another idea for the 20" wheels I made for this, so the 24" wheels went right back on easily, just swapped the cluster and removed the front brake. It's still compact and lightweight but I won't look like a circus bear riding it.

The shop lizard (actual lizard) took a nap on the screen door so I got a pic. It's a Tokay lizard that makes loud noises from time to time. No mosquitos in the shop with this guy.

Upgrading yet again. BMX style with bigger tires, 20 x 2.40. 3" didn't clear the frame. The wheels are laced 4 cross and I'll be using oversize band brakes front and rear. This thing should be easy to transport but able to take a beating, I'm also using the bigger inner tubes from the 3" tires. BMX bars and everything else are ready to go so I hope to have this a rider in just a few days.
The buildoff is just around the corner but I can't wait. I've been gone awhile and need to make something.

Got up at 7am and started working on it. It's easy when everything is ready to go.
I took it for a test ride and it's good! Quiet and rides well. The big brakes are a plus.

I'm using a chrome fork, but I have a new one I'd rather use. I matched the base color, then tried to mimic the pattern and colors of the frame. After it dries tonight, it'll get a couple coats of clear.
