Ok, don't know if I'll get this rat finished up by the deadline, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I am a little discouraged because I don't this I will get it done in time, but maybe getting started with putting up some posts will help get me motivated. I figure even if I don't make the cut that it is alright because I build these bikes for me, FOR MEEEE!

So here is some of what I'm working with.

The frame is at my friends house right now, I'll post some pics when I pick it up.
I am going to keep this thing pretty simple except for one major component, which I will get to later.
Really thinking the old ten-speed goose neck with a down angle that should put the bars right over the spring fork is gonna look awesome.
Probably going to completely murder it out with black matte paint except for white pedals, grips, and seat.

Here is the key ingredient to the aforementioned "major component."

This drum break rim is off the front of the bike. It came on what I think is an old Monark frame that my buddy kicked me down (the one I still have to pick up). I would be stoked if anyone had some info on what this break may be all about. I've never seen one before, though someone may have one on their ride somewhere on the site.

Well, that rim is what sparked this idea...

A BIG OL' jockey stick front break lever, with a white pistol grip to match the bars.

to be continued...
