This is a (China) Schwinn Debutante I picked up for $25. I had bought it for a parts bike but none of the parts on it fit anything else, not even the back rim! So I decided to fix it up instead. The frame and forks were white and the rims, fenders and chainguard were pink, and it had all these girly factory decals all over it. I repainted it Krylon Red Pepper with Krylon Satin Black rims. I also replaced the white seat with a new Black Schwinn seat and also replaced the grips. This bike is sweet with all the retro parts like the torpedo headlight, struts, blade forks, krate pedals and the vintage style book rack with the four cool reflectors. After repainting it, I was going to list it for sale and just leave it parked outside until it sold or possibly just give it away, but now it's too nice to give away or leave outside so it's in our living room. Anyway, I can't seem to find much info on these so I wondered if anyone knows when these were made? If it helps, the serial number is SNTCA07F01295. Not sure though if the 0's are supposed to be O (the letter) or the number zero. But if anyone at least has a rough guess, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks guys!

I couldn't find the earlier 2000's in a pic, but I found this on serial numbers:
" For bikes made from 2002 to 2007, you need to identify the bar code and serial number. The first letter beneath the barcode refers to the year. N to S represents the years 2002 to 2007."

So, "S" would be 2007 for your bike, just guessing.

Okay thank you so much for the info! Much appreciated.

Usually when the more modern bikes had those features (forks and etc.) they were sold in bike shops. For a while the imported Schwinns were two tier, dealer network bikes and big box store bikes. I think they did like Gibson guitars and abandoned their loyal mom and pop network. My Black Phantom repop was a "Wal-Mart exclusive" 🙄😳
