trying to get the correct year thanks, left rear dropout# B649792 then spaced out about a 1/4'' looks like an upside down U.
bottom of bottom bracket is 55EH. heres a pic. thanks

It's probably a '55 Snyder built bike. Can't tell on a 55 of course, but the numbers are usually reversed. That's officially my theory. Phil proved that late prewar Snyders are stamped that way, but the 50s bikes I've seen, I can't date them positively or not. But it seems like they continued the numbering system that way. -Adam
