It's barely worth that. The 'stars' chain ring is worth a few bucks. 1959-62 or so. If you really like it, ok, but probably never get your $ back if you wanted to sell. Imho. -Adam
I agree with Rustinkerer. If you want it to keep, then you probably can't beat the quality at that price, American made, but for resale, nope.
Since it's a woman's bike, it is worth less, even though it looks to be complete and it good shape. That's the way it goes with the old bike market. Usually girl's bikes are stripped of the good parts that have been worn out on the boy's bikes. That AMF bike looks to be late 50's/early 60's, and there's no good way to get the manufacture date from the serial number. The whole thing looks original and probably will shine up nicely and be a good riding bike.

The fact is...if you like it and the price is reasonable then buy it. It's for you...not anyone else! It's a clean ol' girl.
