My dad brought home two bikes today.One was a late 60s or early 70's Omega 3 Speed and the other was a 1960s Huffy roundup,i believe its a kids bike,but i can ride the thing.:lol:I surfed google trying to see what i could find but i couldnt find anything about this bike.The seat design actually looks hand tooled leather.As much as i know about bikes,these themed bikes are usually hard to find.if anyone knows about this roundup or even the omega,please let me know. :mrgreen:

This will eventually be a custom bobber.

Someone for reasons i dont know cut the front drop out off.
 
I know.I just pumped the tires up,lubed everything,adjusting the bars and was riding it around.Its a blast!

Cool bike. The 20 inchers are great to ride IMHO. I'm not a big guy though. At least in height.

Yeah,Its defently not a kids bike.Im just not used to these style bikes,ive never had one before.

And when im done with working on it...well lets just say it will look more like a mtorcycle.

Thats awesome.You know anything about them?

Im not sure about the yearyet,i thought 1960s but the newer bikes the code is weird.I dont get it.
 
i know that my parents bought it brand new. i had it when i was around 6 years old so that would make it 1978-79. not sure how long they made that model, but i know mine had the exact same color scheme and decals. i remember i cracked the frame and moved on to a BMX bike!
 
My parants got me a similar Huffy in 1978, brand new. It was red and had a similar "hand-tooled" seat. It was a "Buckaroo" though. I wish that I still had it, but it got converted into a BMX bike when those became really popular in the early 80's (probably 1980 to be exact) and I'm sure it eventually got sold in a garage sale. I got a red Huffy Pro-Thunder in 81 or 82. I wish that I could find one of those too!
