24" '56 Typhoon

Here the Typhoon as I got it. Got it free from a gal at work. Curent state is stripped apart and most of the paint off the frame.

are you sure that it is a 1956? what and where is the serial#? I think I would recheck the serial # again, I would believe it is more 1966 or 1976?

Since Schwinn didn't actually introduce the Typhoon until '62, and that was a 1 year only straight bar frame... Whatever year, it's still way cool, can't beat the price!! ~Adam

Sorry, I got the date mixed up with my 20" spitfire. I posted about both bikes at a about the same time. The Typhoon date code is BD*****. That makes it Feb. '68. My bad. Thanks to those who caught that. Maybe a MOD can delete this thread so I can remake it with accurate info in the title.
