Muttley, great looking bike! I too found a '64 StingRay that is one of my favorite bikes.I too had to put a big fat Slick on it! i'm also a '65 Comet owner from the HAMB Comet thread. Keep riding that awesome Muscle bike!

May be a different alloy perhaps.I don't know all the history specs of those wheels. I have a set I restored awhile back,and those I left sandblasted finish with clear coat sealed. I was fortunate with this one it turned out so bright.

Slikdaddy,no not powder coated. It is an aluminum motomag BMX wheel....I bought it broken,cut all the webbing out,a lot of grinding,sanding,polishing. How it looked when I bought:

Grantley, This frame is a Huffy Monoshock. Looks like this now.

Not sure what these were off of. I know they were one of many typical mag wheels used in the 70's/80's on BMX race bikes.

Picked these wheels up quite awhile ago. original coating was peeling up and had to go! After lots of paintstripper and a quick sandblast/ Hub rebuild / they are ready to ride! They finally found a home on a mono shock build..........I think_
