    My CWC Roadmaster build

Thanks!! The fork stays are handmade out of 3/8" fuel line from autozone....couldn't find any long/tall enough so I made my own :D Even got the lights working now....had a slight issue with bulbs, but a quick stop to radio shack solved that problem. All 3 lights are nice and bright now, and...

Little help here: lights & generator

the thought had run through my mind to run dual generators, as the local bike shop has tons and tons of em really cheap. But then again, the thought of "cluttering" the bike with em didn't appeal to me much either :( I dunno, thinking I will scour the parts boxes again at the local shop (their...

Little help here: lights & generator

Thanx for the information Skip! I'll attempt to find a 6V 6W generator along with seeing if I can find some LED lights to swap out with. The 6v 3w generator I am using now is rather noisey....worse than the one I have on my Schwinn. Thanx again!

Little help here: lights & generator

Seems I have some thinking to do.... I was affraid of the 12v vs. 6v though, and admit that I figured as much :( Ok, let's see here: Generator: 6volts/3watts 3 bulbs: .45 amp each x3 = 1.35 amp If watts=volts x amps.... that means I am needing 8.10 volts.....correct? Now, the original burned...

Little help here: lights & generator

1st the pix: The 6v generator: Rear lights: (the two very bottom ones, both have 6v bulbs) The headlight: (6v bulb) Now the question: All 3 lights use 6v bulbs, and with them all hooked up to the generator they are really dim. Can a 12v generator be used without having to change the...

    MarksA-C bike finds

Re: This must be my week for bikes! nice!! May have to do some research on the Roadmaster, they were made for/by Cleveland Welding Company, AMF, etc. The local "stash" (the shop that is local, that's what I call it lol) has a girls AMF Roadmaster that looks almost identical to yours, with the...

    My CWC Roadmaster build

Don't think it was the primer, it was rustoleum primer (I've used it before with great results) but the atmospheric pressure may be the key....it had rained the night before so I held off painting until it dried up, but there very well could have been moisture in the air still. Never had bad...

    My CWC Roadmaster build

Nothing special really, just stripped, cleaned, primed and painted with some rustoleum.....rustoleum will NOT be used again as it scratches WAY to friggin easy & it looks GREAT from about 5-7 feet away  Had fun rebuilding it though! Seat & rear rack are from a local bike shop, who has...
