    Everything you see in these pics is powder coat just as it comes out of the oven. No need for wet sanding or polishing. 6,500 colors out there, plenty of beautiful metallics. I did all you see here. If a nice metallic gunmetal is what you like try Kingsport Grey from Prismatic Powders.

    Cheap and effective way to remove powder coating?

    Good paint stripper should remove powder coat. The ones that say "aircraft paint remover" are usually stronger. I prefer the gel consistency ones over the real thick goopy stuff. Even so powder coat can be tough and take multiple applications. Wear eye protection and some cheap rubber gloves...

    Let's see your Western Flyer's

    Believe it to be a 1941. Have the front fender, a correct "appearing" CWC chainguard, correct "appearing" headlight (doesn't have the W embossed in it), and two new red lenses for the rear carrier/rack. Has lots of extra paint jobs on it. Will likely strip it bare and refinish as a cleaned up rider.
