Before everyone gets on me too hard about not finishing decoed out, I am starting back on it this weekend to be able to ride it at the Woodward dream cruise in Detroit on the 17th. This bike I have been wanting to build for 11 years now and its finally time. I plan on taking this and the other...

    Deco-ed Out (working title)

Well its finally time for an update. Sorry to keep everyone waiting, but I have been working two jobs and working on other peoples paying jobs in the shop so not much time for goofing around. Now that mess is finally done its time to build the frame. I had the down tube bent already so I just...

    Deco-ed Out (working title)

It is an auto with overdrive so I am going to stick with that. I was planning on doing the lowered cruiser thing with it but the more I look at the front end parts, the more of them I need to replace. I have to put new front calipers on it and the pair alone is over $400. I am getting a...

Good eye tex on the cummins. Its in a 1967 Chrysler Imperial. Another project I have been working on for a few years now. I think its going to get 4x4 axles next month, just to be different.

Well made some more progress this past couple of weeks and there is something to be said about a successful failure. Got the mold done and tried to make a part in it. I know now how much resin to put in the mold per coat and to change rotation direction for each coat applied to prevent missed...

    Deco-ed Out (working title)

Well its been a minute since my last update so I figured I should post up something. Been slowly working on the new mold but its going good. I plan on claying up the rest of the edge tomorrow and hopefully start laying up the first half of the mold. Smoothed out the surface a little more and...

Well not much to update Luke. I am taking the mold to get finished on Wednesday so hopefully I will have a set the week after that. Still working on other peoples stuff and moving the inlaws into town this weekend so might get some free time next week for frame work. By the way Luke, your bike...

    Deco-ed Out (working title)

Well its been a long week of fixing other peoples things so not much done on the bike. :( I think I will be going a different route on the fenders though. Same shape just different construction method. A place I do side work for makes rotational castings of things using various resins and they...

Well got the second half off the mold and will assemble the two halves tomorrow. Superglue will hold it until the resin and glass kick off at the seam. Then I will start on the frame. I wanted at least the front fender and fork to be together to get the down tube as close to the fender as possible.

Thats the look I am going for cledry. Thanks for the pics. This was my initial inspiration. A 1925 Rolls Royce Phantom 1 Jonckheere Coupe. And this is Rolls Royces modern interpretation of that car. I kind of like the new one better but they are both sex on wheels.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I am going for very different with this one so we will see if it actually turns out like the picture. Dr. Tankenstein thats a pretty cool looking bike right there. I hope I can get mine to end up that clean looking. The PVC thing just came to me one day. The...

    Deco-ed Out (working title)

I have been very impressed with all of the builds going on lately so I decided to try and start a cool one as well. My last bike turned out well and has been ridden many miles but this one should turn a few more heads. After building my first bike I started throwing around the idea of making a...

The forks and neck were from an old mini dirtbike. I got them from a friend of mine who was just going to toss them out. I started building another chopper minibike with them but decided that they would do better in this application.

Thanks wimpy. I thought about doing fatter tires but the more I look at it the more I like the skinny ones on there. The next one I am building will have 26" tires so I will do fatties on it.

Well sorry for no updates lately. My sister used my yard to get married in so I have been doing yard work for the past month to get ready. So now its over and I jumped on the bike to get it finished. Blew the whole thing apart for sanding, bondo, and paint. Put the new tires on the rims and...

Did a little more work to the bike Sunday and tonight. Added 6" to the bars, put on the new seat, and reinstalled the original front forks with the special axle nuts I turned on the lathe tonight. Heading to the LBS tomorrow for tires, cables, and whatever else looks cool. Then it will get blown...

Thanks. That seat it only temporarily on there though. I added 6" to the bars in the last pic and I like them so they will stay with it now. I actually robbed the forks of the minibike I am building now to put on the bike. This is one of the last minibikes I built. It would do over 100 mph...

So I may have attacked my bike with a saws-all last night. I was looking at it and decided it needed to be a little shorter for better comfort and easier bar selection. Cut 2" behind the neck on the backbone and about 4" behind the crank and removed a 4" chunk from each. A tube was inserted in...

    Science #1

I really like how the frame turned out. The contrast of the pointy corners and the round flowing lines in the center is nice. By the way, how do you like your Zero DS? I have been looking at those for quite awhile now but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
