I don't remember if it was welded or if there was actually a second nut on the outside...I am sure either would work unless someone else knows better than I :)

I don't have any pics. but I have disassembled klaxon horns for cars and the stud is just a short bolt threaded onto a nut inside the horn. I did a quick diagram showing this. The ribbed wheel turns against the end of the bolt producing the sound. The bolt can be adjusted from the outside. I...

Oh, you must understand that he has become Locutus of Bike...there is no separating them right now. :) I don't know if his mind will change once he finds out how much this thing may be worth. The seat alone has sold for $300. I will keep you posted though.

Ok...so I did a little snooping on the interwebs and found a bit about it. I am still confused about the dates though. In 1968 they made the Yellow Submarine bike in a very limited quantity for giveaways...all of which are said to have been girls bikes. I also found a few places that showed...

A friend of mine picked up what looks to be a late 60s or early 70s Huffy 3 speed. He was wanting to find out more about it and the killer Huffy tagged Yellow Submarine seat it has on it. If anyone has any info, let me know. Pics are below...Thanks!

Thanks! I like yours as well! I do plan on riding a lot! Unfortunately, getting this bike and seeing this site has given me yet another obsession...er...I mean hobby. :D Already scoping prewar frames for a possible board track racer. Ah well...it's people like us that keep the past alive...

I've been laboring over that question since I got it...I believe I am going to clean it, get the rust off and repaint black frame with red accents and red fenders. I may add a couple things like a headlight. I want to fix it up but not restore...I want it to be retro but totally mine ;-)
