What size spoke wrench for '49 Schwinn?

Thanks for telling me what you would do with the wheel. Your plan was the first that came to mind. I plan to buy a spoke wrench and I have plenty of time. If nobody wants the parts, they will be scrapped. Still looking for answers... 8)

What size spoke wrench for '49 Schwinn?

The Schwinn wheel assembly pictured below will be disassembled for parts. It came off a '49 Schwinn B6. Two spokes are gone. The salvaged spokes, spoke nipples, and drum brake hub will be sold. The rim has some rust rot on the inside that may make it useless. What size spoke wrench do I need...

new guy found 4 old bikes & this site!

Good eye on the Schwinn wheel! Another RRB user caught that in the discussion topic for that Huffy. The close-up pic is here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34894#p341659. I'm not a bike hobbyist, I was just lucky to find these bikes. The bikes and/or parts will be sold to enthusiasts, collectors...

    '50s (Bauer?) Jet - Ladies 26" Middleweight - YEAR???

Unlike the US ladies bikes I have seen, this frame has no small tube near the middle connecting the top tube to the bottom tube. It seems to be an uncommon design. The Fleet Wing pictures I've seen so far all have this frame component. Is there a name for this style of frame? 8)

    '61 Murray (Flightliner?) - Ladie's 26" Middleweight

That's why I'm documenting my finds with photographs. This bike appears to be all original. I would hate to part out a bike that could be more valuable if left completely intact. This will probably be sold as seen with these original parts. The handle bars and rear rack are missing. Check out...

Aristocrat Bike? build for my wife Updated 9/4 page 2

The head tube and seat tube on my Jet look nearly parallel, not like the sanded Aristiocrat frame shown earlier. I'm thinking the frame on that bike is bent. I am somewhat interested in the chain guard, rear fender, and rear rack, if the build has hit a dead end.

    '49 Schwinn B6 - Men's Ballooner

Re: 1949 Schwinn B6? The front wheel for this tasty Schwinn was on the Huffy I found nearby. It is a Schwinn S2 rim with a Schwinn front brake hub and a Wards Riverside Mate 26 x 2.125 blackwall tire that held a Wards Riverside tube inside. The rim has a small hole rusted through on part of...

    '63 Huffy (model/style?) - Men's 26" Middleweight

Re: '63 Huffy original found I found two 26 x 1.75 wheels next to this bike. One is badly damaged, possibly related to the bent rear fender on the Huffy. The other wheel may have been intended as its eventual replacement, but it is slightly bent. The wrecked wheel has a complete Bendix RB2...

    '63 Huffy (model/style?) - Men's 26" Middleweight

Re: '63 Huffy original found Thanks for the good news! A closer look shows it is for sure a Schwinn S2. Do you suppose the wheel is a complete original (hub, spokes, rim)? 8)

    '63 Huffy (model/style?) - Men's 26" Middleweight

Here's a '63 Huffy (serial # 3H080663), apparently with its original fenders, handle bars, chain guard, chain ring, etc. It's a cruiser with big 26 inch tires. Was there a name for this model? What's up with this funky front wheel hub? What about the lamp? Thanks! 8)

    '61 Murray (Flightliner?) - Ladie's 26" Middleweight

This is the fourth bike I wanted to show you guys. I like it the most out of the four because of the fancy seat, chrome fenders, purple color, and space-age tank. It is a Murray with serial number MOT 27 457337. The rear hub is a Komet Super. The bike nearly matches the nice one pictured ('59...

    '49 Schwinn B6 - Men's Ballooner

Re: 1949 Schwinn B6? I have lived in the Ferndale/Royal Oak area of metro Detroit for most of my life and still do. Today, I took advantage of the recent mild weather. We haven't been above freezing here since just after Thanksgiving. ...Fixed truck windshield wiper arm, replaced truck...

    '50s (Bauer?) Jet - Ladies 26" Middleweight - YEAR???

Your Aristocrat frame looks identical. The chain ring on my Jet looks slightly different. The wheel on the Jet is 26" (x 1.75?) for sure but the tire has no obvious markings. Lets' see some pics of that Fleet Wing! Has Fireproof mentioned the serial number on his bike? Pics, please! The Bauer...

    '50s (Bauer?) Jet - Ladies 26" Middleweight - YEAR???

Re: Mysterious Ladies Middleweight, German "JET"? Wildcat, I don't see any markings on the seat. It seems fairly complex: long thin springs running underneath a nylon shell, bi-color vinyl cover, two large springs. The blue/white color matches the paint scheme. I'm guessing it's original. I...

    '49 Schwinn B6 - Men's Ballooner

Re: 1949 Schwinn B6? B607, So, the "6" in B6 is a model type in a series? Everything I've found is "Autocycle, B6, Black Phantom". I guess I'm working with a B"-2" from the looks of it. No wheels, fenders, light, tank, rack. I was already considering parting it out. The seat, handle bars, and...
