I took it out on its maiden ride yesterday just after the photo. The seat it too low for my height. I was gassed out after a 1/4 mile. Otherwise happy.

The bar will likely change but for now its different and im ok with it. The wheels are more difficult.

Im 6'4" with the long arms you mentioned so the post was a plus for me. It has a mountain bike riding position for me now. Pretty happy with at the moment. Handlebars are too cheap not to keep experimenting though. So we'll see.

Little more progress. Filed the bars down a bit more to fit a new brake lever. Shortened up the cable. Switched to an old OEM Schwinn cable cover. Now the happier news. Laid back post and Chinese hairpin saddle off Amazon...

Yep. 1 inch oak dowel from a big box hardware store. 36” for $5. Cut down to 21".

Bought the bike used for 100. The fenders for 118 shipped.

REALLY REALLY trying to search out similar fenders for my set up. Assembled roughly 6-7 years ago. Used a few times every summer. My lowered flat bed. Complete with fork mount for towing.
