From what I have discovered, the tubing is either waterpipe or generic tubing you would find in that time period. I will inspect mine more thoroughly soon.
My wife went to a local estate sale for me, because I was working. She is trained to ask about old bicycles and the lady said she had one that she already sold and "it was a from the 30s or 40s and made right here in Paris, Texas". I went back to the sale early this morning and the lady told me...
Sorry Guys, Steve put me up to it!. He promised me a Rat Rod Bikes T-shirt (size L) if I played along. Go to the Fresh Finds forum to see more photos and the real story.........
Re: Oct 13th Vintage Bicycle Club of Texas Swap Meet
I have posted pics of some of the bikes I will bring on the other Hurst Swap Meet thread. I have a few tubs of parts too. Including racks, fenders (some nice NOS 20"), kickback hubs, wheels, bearings, pedals, etc.
I don't know if it's proper etiquette to mention a swap meet endorsed by another website so admins can delete if necessary (no hard feelings). Plenty of info on thecabe.com, my other favorite vintage bicycle site. Some of what I may be bringing, in addition to vintage parts and pieces.
This was my first build ever. Regretably I did not get any before photos but it's life with me began as an unknown frame from a fence row covered in vines at a scrap yard.
