1900's Indian board track racer replica

Finally got around to getting the fork welded/brazed together, still have to add truss rods. I used a Mig for strength and brazed to fillet the parts.

1900's Indian board track racer replica

I'll be building a truss rod style fork, using a 1" x .125 wall steer tube with a threadless head set.

1900's Indian board track racer replica

These are the start of my forks, they're wrench handles from some custom Proto's used on specialty engines in the oil fields. I split the upper half and inserted a smaller tube to give them a little taper. Once I've trimmed them and added the curve I'll finish the welds, there's a lot of void to...

1900's Indian board track racer replica

Here's a shot of the engine and part of the mount. I'm creating a false crankcase similar to the ones used around 1915, the completed crank case will be clad in aluminum. The completed build will have several false components, trying to make it look as much like an early bike as possible.

I've completed the down tube, started the motor mounts and custom forks, will try to get some more pics up soon.

1900's Indian board track racer replica

One on the left is a 1937 Dodge pickup, the other is a 1930 Ford Model A. No room for another car build thought I'd try a bike.

1900's Indian board track racer replica

I'm building a replica of an early 1900's Indian board track racer using a modified Worksman INB frame, the engine is a 5HP 2 stroke from the 50's. I just finished stretching the frame 5.5" and hope to have the down tube finished tomorrow.

    3 Piece Crank

Hey guys thanks for all the great info. Are the splines on the 19mm spindles tapered slightly? What type of crank puller do you need? Does a Shimano CB-E110 hub/sprocket use the same type chain as the 3 piece BMX cranks?

    3 Piece Crank

I have a Worksman frame and want to convert it to a 3 Piece Crank, anyone know if BMX style cranks will work?

    Steer Tube - Bearing Race

I need a 1" steer tube for a custom made fork and the 2 vintage forks I have now do not have the larger diameter at the base where the bearing race sits. These older forks use shims to hold the race in place, I have some 1" tube with .125 wall and a 1" die to thread it, are shims ok or do I need...

Fork for a Worksman frame and 2.35 tires

I'm building a board track bike using a Worksman News Boy frame and need a fork that will allow for a 2.35 tire. I want to use a retro fork not the style Worksman now uses. Anyone know of an old style fork that will allow a 2.35 tire with a steer tube length that will work with a News Boy frame?

    Heavy Duty rear hub

I'm building an early 1900's board track motorcycle replica, the early models were kind of motorized bicycles. I need a heavy duty rear hub mostly for looks, what's the strongest rear hub out there? Anyone ever used an early moped rear hub with a 26" bicycle rim?

    What up

I was searching for a Worksman frame and ended up here, just missed one listed for sale here. I'm building a 1900's board track bike and need a strong steel frame as a base. I've been building and riding full suspension MTBs for years. Just finished building a 1937 Dodge pickup old school hot...
