Luke,

How is the end going to work? Are we posting final pics in a separate "completed" thread no later than the 1st. And have you made a "END" time on the first? Or is it the 31st?

I ask because I think I will be down to the wire, utlizing the last minutes. I may even have wet paint if I get it done.

That is midnight UTC-6h (Central America time) same as used for the main build-off's.

For those in Australia on +10 UTC + Daylight savings (+11 really) that is 5p.m. on the 2nd.

Don't worry, the Aussies are not getting any more time than anyone else, we started midnight UTC-6 too...

Luke.

It looks like some of us will have bikes that are together and rideable but not finished by the deadline. (Me included!) What about a couple of classes within the build-off?

I will still offer the main prize of a Crunchie pack and two stickers for the bike with the most votes, but what about if we added 3 sub-classes?

Class 1: Completely finished by the original Dec 1st deadline.
Class 2: Completely finished by the Jan 1st deadline.
Class 3: Unfinished but rideable by the Jan 1st deadline.

Is this a good idea?
Anyone willing to offer up small (cheap post) prizes for the sub classes?

Luke.

I'm up Luke happy to donate including postage to anywhere on the planet
a copy of a DVD I made of the old aeroplanes that have visited my island
home in the time I have lived here. Off topic but classic and horse power,
nothing like an old aeroplane at a nice location! (PM sent)

I feel "Run What'cha Brung" is a fair Rat Rod motto...
a tough bike in primer is still a tough bike.:showingbiceps:
There's more I'd like to have done to mine but an
extended deadline is still a deadline...
Just keep building, it's not like the thread is locked after the 31st.

Carl.

I think furyus would be the only person in class 1, but I could be wrong.

You are correct. Are there others?
I am not sure, I will go through when all the bikes are in and double check which class everyone belongs too...

Or you could all just let me know here and save me a whole heap of time! ;)

Luke.

I could've been done but I enjoyed the extra time to sit on my tail and
semi-procrastinate... (not being a professional crastinator)

I actually think your bike could be in either Class 2 or 3, up to you Carl!
You have paint and riding, but I know you still want a front brake on there...

Luke.

HAHA! I'm fine where ever...
I doubt I'm in the running for any of them.
There's always more to do, I mostly ran out of cash.
But I will continue to work on it til I'M happy with it.

It's all so funny to me, in this build off we add more time and divide into categories... and in the Winter build-off they all want to be in one big group, traditional and anything goes together... I'm just along for the ride and having fun. Poke at people some and build the best bike I can...

Carl.

It's been interesting to see the scramble to the finish.
I wonder if some of the silent ones will make it ?
I also hope Crash does, talk about last minute rush...
there's nothin' like watchin' paint dry. ;)

Carl.
