My “fenders” arrived today, a lot sooner than I thought. They are just about an inch longer than the wheel. Hopefully I can adjust them to get the proper look. E35334F5-CA5B-4932-958E-9EB0DE9CAC55.jpeg 04797034-3470-40CA-B46C-1A3C427BABA8.jpeg

I have a good start to a fender but it needs some more work

I bought a plastic welder from Harbor freight and got both fenders together. They need some sanding but are close to done. 324E210D-23F0-40E3-AC9F-B4C046607318.jpeg 26930F1D-F81B-499F-AEE4-C5EC8994821A.jpeg I also made a bracket to strengthen them and to mount them DA159A62-6AA7-4E3E-AC3A-A9029306FBF9.jpeg While I was wandering around the lumberyard I found my chain guard and possibly a rear rack. 55E444FA-F28C-49C7-8CA7-0C04D22001F4.jpeg

    Looking good!

The fender reminds me of the 70's Chevy C10 step side trucks!

I couldn't resist seeing how it would look with a more squared opening and the wheels tucked.
Interesting but probably not the look that you're going for though. :)

Interesting look but I am not ready to get the saw out yet. I like that squared off shape but not the size of the opening. My first truck was an 1983 Chevy.

Fun build. I love it when builders use odd items to get the vibe they want.

I need to get serious about this bike soon. A friend gave me two of these today but they need to be chrome if I am going to use them. 732FCDFB-AB28-4968-A6D3-ACFEAFB43077.jpeg I got the fender mounted today. B9240C47-A2F2-4116-955F-CD29B13A2827.jpeg
I am hoping to get paint tomorrow.

Love the sewing machine covers! How much did you pay for a plastic welder?

$15 Harbor Freight. It worked fine. For the amount I am going to use it I didn’t want to make much of an investment.

The wheel covers are cool. Try getting an airbrush artist to paint some mag wheels on them.

I ordered a bunch of parts from Worksman to replace the ones that were damaged during disassembly. They should be here in 10 days. I tried a mahogany stain on scrap birch. It’s about time to build a box.
