Everyone's building bikes with wood tanks :shock: I'm gonna start making one Tuesday I think :mrgreen: The bike looks great and is giving me lots of ideas :wink:

UPDATE

I finally decided to try painting the fork and distressing it to match the overall patina of the bike. I am happy with how it turned out. I also found a replacement chainguard off a Racer. I painted it and distressed it as well along with painting the name on the guard. Now it is sporting a nice leather Schwinn seat and Chubby Schwinn Script grips, both from a Schwinn Phantom. I also found an old light with a glass lens that i retrofitted with an LED and added an old bell from the 40's made in West Germany.

Found an old set of drop center wheels (white w/ red pin stripes) with a Bendix Red Band hub. Stripped down the hub and cleaned and greased it back up. Works like new now!

It is rainy out, so the pics are kinda crummy. Better pics to come soon.
