Battle Mountain, Nevada is to the Cycling World Land Speed Record, what the Bonneville Salt Flats is to the Automotive Land Speed Record.

The cyclist used a camera with a fiber-optic lens linked to a viewing screen inside of the fully enclosed airstream recumbent bike. The Speed Trap is 200-meters long.

Isn’t cool; and it all has to do with the efficient movement of mass through a fluid combined by means of extreme reductions in rolling resistance!
