So finally after a year of wanting to build my own bike I did it!!!!!! After hours of searching on this site and others for inspiration on the build I sketched out the design and started going to work.
Most of my inspiration came from the basman 346, I wanted it to look low and long, but not super stretched, and i also wanted a comfortable upright sitting position.
Once welded together i decided to go with felts abraham front end and electra's straight 8 3spd wheel set w/ a suicide shifter.
Then it was on to the bars
I was going to do these wood inserts
here is my first full mock up
After a 10 mile test ride it was ready to come apart for paint, I decided not to go with the wood inserts and just keep it clean, here is how she sits now, just a few more things left to do
