out of all these i did not we one like my first bike a 20" if i can remember it was a 1976. it resembled the stingray frame had a banana seat that was fake saddle print. the paint was white with a red fork and fade on front of frame. ape style handel bars, a low sissy bar crome fenders and copper sparkel grips.

here is my 1967 buzz bike

:D

Just put this in fresh finds, but should be here too since I don't see many of them out there. Royce Union Muscle Bike. Not sure on date, but guessing like '68 since there are no reflectors on the pedals?

Such a strange frame geometry. Lugged construction. Sever curve to the middle bars which connect really low on the down tube.

THis bike is so original I can't believe it! Down to the grips!
RoyceUnion7.jpg

Pedals are tiny, no reflectors. But even say Royce Union on them.
RoyceUnion10.jpg

Such mojo with the saddle bag basket. Old chain and lock. Note the glitter tassle hanging off of it! That is a 20X2.125 rear tire. I almost think a 20X3 would fit if the fender braces were wider..
RoyceUnion11.jpg

bit of that extra flair on the fender edge.
RoyceUnion5.jpg

Got even better when I found a license plate with my name on it, and from FLA where I was born.

I didn't think the Springer fork came on a Firecat, only the King Kat. But it does look great.
I 'm building a Blue Streak with that setup but this frame has more of rake to it. Hoping for
a fun ride like your boys. Great pics.

Stevil

I think you are right about the fork when I built this bike almost 20 years ago
The frame came with just the standard triple tree. At the Ann Arbor Swap meet in the early 90's I found the NOS Springer
I can't remember exactly what i paid for it....but I think it was 25 bucks! 8) :D

Thanks for the complements

Well, krates are pretty common, but here's mine anyway. I have a really interesting, really cheesy dragster swingbike I am working on. I will post it here when I'm done.

Here are some early builds. I had almost forgotten about them. I built these bikes for my little brothers before the internet was popular. I had to scan old photos in. I hope they are clear enough to see. Those were good times. 3 speed hubs were all over locally and cheap. I had laced one up on the two choppers. The blue one had a grip throttle style shifter. I put the orange chopper together for that brothers' 7th birthday. My youngest brother saw it and wanted a chopper "so bad I can just aaagghhh!". He was 5 years old. I laughed so hard at that. So I put one together for him too. Look at that face. He was serious drag bike racing 5 year old. You can kind-of see the back gear if you look close. I had welded a 40 tooth or so front gear onto the back for a really low gear ratio. He couldn't go very fast, but he loved it. The first picture with him in his pajama shirt was his second chopper when he was just a little taller. That one was built from a schwinn varsity.

This started off as a BEER RUN cruiser, but during the last two days of the build off, I gave it more of a muscle bike feel when I found a steering wheel and added a skateboard sissy bar (sorta). I think of this as the bike I should have built when I outgrew my Screamer 2 as a kid.
