rapido gets new shoe's

thats my rapido before the make over. i picked up these uniroyal slicks for the rapido but the problem was they rubbed up against the frame/fenders.

i decided it was about time they made there way on to the bike.
with a little heat and a big hammer.

had to rework the fenders, but i'm glad i did.
heres the finished product of my efforts. i think it looks bad ...!

my girlfriend liked it better before, myself, well i dig the slicks.

what do you guys think?

I like the black wall look, but for comparison I would like to see the ww returned to the front leaving the slick on the rear.

Running sliks front and rear is pretty cool, the bike looks awesome. I would definitely keep the sliks on

well the rain finally let up and i got to take the rapido for a spin.

sure does ride differently on slicks. i'm lovin it!

i figured when turning, the front slick would ride up on the edge making for a bit of an unstable turn. couldn't be further from the truth.
i haven't really put it through its paces, we've had a tonne of rain, but i did get it out infront of the house and tried alot of slow tight turns. my peddles are real low, and i didn't scrape em once. (which i expected to with such slow tight turns.)
the slicks keep the bike balanced with even less effort than before.
couldn't be happier with the handling characteristics.

we'll just have to see what happens at higher speeds.
