Yep, they make polishing SUPER FAST. I use them all the time at work. I weld and polish food-grade stainless steel equipment.
Yikes, got lucky. I have about .250” clearance. I had to air down to get the axle to clear, then air back up.
It’s a roller!! I need to trim .65” off the kick stand, but I’m done for today. Anyone want to see it mocked up? Still need: -Finish tail light, wiring, switch and bracket -Fabrication of rear fender -Order chain -Find different neck, grips, chain ring, cranks -Pull apart and send frame off for pinstripes
I’m too impatient sometimes. Here is a cluttered photo for you to sort through. Thanks for following along. Now to pull it back apart so I can keep going.
I drilled a new hole for the wire so I can use the existing hole to mount the light. Used Monster Cable speaker wire dressing to pretty it up.
Schwinn made this vent hole for welding the frame. I am going to open it up and rout the wire internally to the seat. This cat 5 cable has a thick jacket for me to maneuver through the bottom bracket, but I want it to hold up over time and miles.
It’s hard to see, but I added some grommets to the holes in the bottom bracket. I used a c-clamp to smash JB weld epoxy and the wire against the side-wall. While that cures, I’m going to hack off that kick stand and blend the base to the frame mount.
