got a bundle of joy on her way (due in April) and I've got to have a cool stroller for the car and bike show scene! a good friend of mine (Kuttnhack) found this pedal car for $45.00 at a local thrift shop, and spotted me the cash till I picked it up from him. need to lower, paint, upholster, and pinstripe this bad boy 8) then I'll need to figure out a push bar and sun-shade.
well, hope ya'll don't mind me posting a build thread here....

this is what I got for $45.00 + tax

I narrowed the front steering components 2inches and lowered those components 5 1/2 inches

I wanted to lower the rear without narrowing the seat, so I cut some old school teared fenders, and dropped the rear about 3inches

so now it sits with a decent rake, and still has full steering function.

gonna make a floor pan, so her feet won't drag on the ground, and to keep dust from blowing up through the seat area. thinking about some cool bumpers, and a nice grill too. I'll keep you updated!

How about some working headlights.. cut out the fake ones, install some small fog/driving lights with a lawn mower battery...

If you're gonna throw in a battery how about a hidden radio, lights, frenched antenna, flame throwers.... Okay maybe I'm getting carried away

Re: pedal car-stroller build

Re: pedal car-stroller build

found an electrical panel door at work to use for the floor pan....
100_2395.jpg

got the floor tacked in, nice and even..... and then my spool of wire ran out :?
I'll get another fresh spool tomorrow after work.
100_2396.jpg

also found an all chrome door handle in the basement at work....
we don't have doors that fit this style of handle
I think I can make a bumper for the front with this...

Nice work so far.

Some fake pedals; clutch, brake, gas, would look great on the firewall!

and you will get full credit for the idea!
then I can make a cool extra tall shifter too..... 8)

Oh yea! With a chrome plated pacifier fer a shift knob!!!! :p

Ooo! Mark, that would look sweet!
I was thinking of using a small rubber ducky for a shift knob, but your idea is cool too.

I want to thank you guys for your interest in this project, and don't be shy about your ideas, they're really helpfull.
any suggestion or idea could pull this project into another direction.
great stuff! and I'll have updates this weekend too------------
