I'm hoping with all the weldors here we might have someone who knows about this stuff..

I work in a model railroad store and we toss a lot of used track..I've got quite a few pounds of nickel silver rail and was wondering if it was worth keeping to try and braze with....the local scrap mill hasn't got a clue what to pay for it and offered like 10 cents a pound. It is a pain to get the plastic off but still pretty quick. Used track is virtually worthless, especially with broken ties, etc. (Yup, that horde of Lionel 3 Rail track rusting away in the basement ain't worth diddly squat.)

Am I nuts? Or Am I sitting on a gold mine??

I do realize there is NO silver in the stuff. Mostly Copper, with a little nickel and zinc.
