I'm working on a 1920s track bike for my son's birthday. I'm looking for a seat brace like the one on the seat nose in the picture below. Anyone know what it's called and where to get one? For my 1900s bike I made one but I would like an original as my son is a little more picky than I am.

I did search that but nothing came up. Your picture is helpful. I used a 1916 patented turnbuckle for my 1900 track bike but that turnbuckle looks different than the ones posted here, not appropriate for a 1920s bike. I could make one now that I know what one looks like.

Wow $115 bucks for a turnbuckle. I'll make another one from an aircraft turnbuckle. Here is the one I made for my 1900 track bike. I saw a vintage picture on line of a guy racing on a track and he had the turnbuckle at the rear so I put a brace on the front and a very old turnbuckle on the back.
