MODIFIED 29" COLUMBIA w/REAR DROP OUT EXTENSIONS

This was a cheap $160 26" cruiser I bought to test my rear dropout extensions

Bike was actually 2 separate new bikes...
I had to buy a new 29" huffy ($120) from walmart for the (grey colored but I repainted black to match) front forks, fenders & 29" wheel set which I spent 30 minutes truing but wheels where black spoked and white hubs out of box....
heres a close up of my extensions I fabricated out of 1/4" steel stock with 4 grade 8 bolts to allow 29" wheels to the 26" frame...

Heres a custom coaster brake link I made...
And a couple rear rack strut extensions.

I 86'd the brown saddle, funky chrome handle bars and matching grips for a black comfort messanger seat, wide black handlebars with no grips...

Surprisingly solid for the price. I think it is $163 out the door. It comes with a 3pc crankset, old school pedals and really nice other parts.
I think its a great canvas

I cant believe they are only $163. You get a pretty good amount of good parts to either reuse or canibalize.
I actually seen one that someone stress patina painted and it looked cool to...
