Last week I went on a 7 day raft trip with my twin brother and some friends. It was on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, some of the most rugged and remote country in the lower 48. The river snakes 100 miles through the Frank Church Wilderness. On the first 3 days, the weather was rotten with lots of rain turning the crystal clear water into mud. The next days the weather was perfect. Besides the 100 rapids of whitewater, we saw wildlife, Indian pictographs, hot springs and many gorgeous views.

Indian Pictographs from the Tukudeka tribe. We saw these all through the river and they are about 1200 years old.
