I have gotten out of the habit of checking the local Craigslist for bikes... but today I did. I found and bought a package deal, or bundle as Frank calls it.

A Huffy Tempest with 24" wheels, girls model that I believe will clean up and make a nice rider.

A Cheetos bike that I can save the paint on and I believe I can replace all the chrome, except maybe the fishtail "exhaust" chain guard with Ebay bike parts and restore the bike. It appears to me the paint and exhaust chain guard was the only unique parts on it. If all else goes well I will check into getting the chain guard replated, or getting my local sheet metal shop to recreate one from stainless steel.

A Joannou trike with 24" wheels. I had never heard of a Joannou until today. It can be saved. All the important stuff is good. Nice head badge.
The car is our '52 Studebaker Commander, V8, automatic, 99k, runs and drives great.

The trike is neat in that it is obvious that a front section of a two wheel bike was used, by the manufacturer, and "converted" into a trike. I will show some details when I get into that project. I believe I can find a close match for the original green metallic paint at the local auto paint store when the time comes. I think it will be an easy restoration.
It appears that Joannou bikes were the forerunners of Janis bikes? I'm still amazed that as many hours as I have spent looking at bicycle stuff on the 'net, sometimes till the wee hours of the morning, I still run across brands that I have never heard of. I love when that happens.

Yeah, I thought that about the forks too. Wonder if there is a reason for making forks like that?
