So I decided to only paint the frame and forks and chose flat black. I sandblasted most of the rusted parts including the tank. I kept the tank bare metal and lightly sanded the rest of the trim parts. I wanted the flat black paint to bring out the details of the patina'd springer and headlight bezel. The springer fork was also flipped to lower the stance and push the wheel forward (tip from a member here). The rest of the parts were not disposed... just stashed away until i figure out what to do with'em.

A little FYI. I have a Flightliner with reversed front dropouts too. You hit a big enough bump (or land from a wheelie), the top of that springer will hit your headlight bezel. I leave the bottom screw out of mine so when it hits, it gives a bit without breaking. BTW, nice bike!!
