Been kicking this idea around awhile. Saw a really cool scooter in last summer's buildoff.

I am taking two bikes that were free... and try making a scooter cool enuff for me to ride...

I got this bikeboard in a free set of bikes last summer.

I got this electric stingray 'thrown in' when I picked up a bratz for $50.

I have some plywood in the garage for a deck after it is together. Then I can extend the wiring forward and build a battery box.

After Day 1, I have something resembling a scooter mocked up.

Got some welding todo.

Looks cool.
I hope it's not flexible with that much stretch, I have to shorten my deck area about a foot.

I'm wondering how that big wheel/tire will ride as a scoot.

There is no flex at all with the tubing, even at the slip joint.

There will be rotational flex when steering the board with the back foot. I expect that this will aid in slalom and doing donuts in the street.

That 4" stingray slick fits the wheel terribly. Too much air pressure and it unseats. I may end up putting a motorcycle tire on it. Other than that, I the the 4" shouldn't be a problem.

Pattern for the wood. Not much larger than a normal board.

Got a 1/4 long sliver broken off from the old wood.

Will be doing woodwork, in a bit after the finger is fixed...

Cool project...I remember the e-scoot conversation from last year.
Thanks Chad.

I rode it this morning.

That front stingray slick is gonna go in the trash.

Other than that, solid, no sag even with my 195 lbs added...

All that's left is to turn that old seat into a battery box and wire the handlebars in. Will wire for a 16" ape, for when I find the right bars.
