EARLY BMX: What is it? It is a Repco made by Giant June 1980!

Picked up this today, not real sure what it is, I know it is early, and some of the design features are a bit Mongoose in style, but I doubt it is one, maybe it is an Australian rip off?

It might be a Giant, which would make it June 1980.
But, the matchbox area behind the bottom bracket is more like a Webco one?

That sure looks like it, apparently the Webco's had the serial number on the bottom bracket though, not the dropouts...

Looks like Webco's had a square brake bridge too, so that would make this a Giant even though the matchbox area is more Webco styled...

Figured it out!

It is a Repco Hotfoot, made June 1980 by Giant Taiwan, for Repco Australia.
The Repco bikes had the Webco style matchbox area!

^ I wish mine looked that good!

It should clean up nice, pretty sure I have some era appropriate Araya 7X's somewhere, from memory they were a little bent though, will have to have a look...

Looks like my Gold anno 7X's are ok, just well used, they have high flange Suzue hubs on them too!
