(EDIT - 1-1-2012) I finished posting all of the photos of cool bikes, cool motorcycles, and cool cars from our vacation. Look below for 5 separate posts for Stockholm, Copenhagen, Cesky-Krumlov, Prague, and Zurich. Happy New Year!

Hey guys (and gals). We are on vacation over in Europe for Christmas and I have seen some really cool bikes and vintage motorcycles and such. I may not get my photos posted until I get back home, but I thought I would share a cool bit tonight.

We are in Cesky-Krumlov, Czech Republic and we went to a cool restaurant that is in an old river mill. It also doubles as a bit of museum. That had some really cool old bicycles hanging from the first floor rafters in the dining hall. But the coolest was the vintage motorcycle collection upstairs.

Here is a link to their gallery. This should hold you over until I can post some photos.

We leave for Prague tomorrow. Last week we were in Stockholm, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark. I took a LOT of bike photos in Copenhagen. I think their bike culture was close to that of Amsterdam's (not quite, but still impressive).

Re: Bikes and such from European Christmas Vacation 2011

Prague is nice but watch your pockets, plenty of pick-pockets out there, I know from experience.

Try some Absinthe in Prague too :).

Stockholm, Sweden Bikes

Prague has been just a great as we remembered. No pickpockets got us. Great beer and I did try some Absinthe (and will post an Absintherie bike when I get home).

I decided to start tagging some of my photos.

Here are the bikes I saw in Stockholm. Mostly city bikes, but I did run across a cool Dyno that had been sitting with a flat for who knows how long.

Cool postal bike

Zurich, Switzerland Bikes, pedicab, and electric trike car

I saw this cool way the do the fenders in Copenhagen as well. It basically keeps a wheel from pulling a ladies skirt off.
I will probably use this idea on some future build.

All electric 3 wheels cars.

Cesky-Krumlov Bikes cars and cool vintage motorcycles

Here are the photos of bikes and stuff I saw in Cesky-Krumlov, Czech Republic. Most of this goes along with the video link I posted to start this thread. They are from a restaurant that had a cool museum full of vintage motorcycles and bicycles.

This was from a different museum

Copenhagen bikes. This city is bike crazy.

This city was swarming with bikes. I think I even read that more people commute with bikes than cars there now. Most were city bikes, but there was a cruiser here or there. There were also some cool cargo and people carrying bikes.
