so the duplicolor primer says i can topcoat in 30 minutes....what do youguys think?

i still need to weld the shortened steering tube back on the fork. my welder is at my buddies shop and he is out of town!
gotta strip the rack and chainguard.

need lights. any suggestions?

Re: Black Coffee & Cream (Frame primed - 5/29)

good idea laying down two cans of primer i always believe that with rattle can you can never have too much. as far as time between coats it depends on how hot it is and how daring your feeling. i find that if i recoat too soon there is a higher chance of the paint running. i like the pic with your boxer in the back.

oh its cool guys.
i have a lucky seven coming monday.

oh and my buddy said i could go grab my welder. he hid a key to the shop.
i can weld up the fork!

Re: Black Coffee & Cream (fork Fix - 5/31)

i cut an inch out of the steering tube about an inch above the crown.
i found a a threaded steel pipe coupler at lowes.
it fits perfect. just threaded them in.
tack welded 4 sides while in the vise.
then i filled in. grinded. got bearing race back on easy.

its not too pretty, but its hidden inside the head tube, so whatever.

now, i can do a semi mockup.
stay tuned.

i still need a nice stem. anyone have a deluxe stem?
