fake rivets ?

Anyone know a source for fake rivet heads. something like 6-8mm in sticker form or that I could glue on?

Been looking on the interweb for like half an hour with no luck (in the US)

Make your own by cutting and shaving them down from regular rivets. Can't get much better than that.

been thinking about that, not sure how I hold them against my grinder!

I would experiment depending on what you have . Personally tho I would pinch the end with a vise grip and start grinding. Shouldn't be to bad but if it is then you could grip smaller one end first, with a cutting wheel on grinder or rotary tool and cut off mass and then grip the bigger end again to shave smooth. Should be a piece of cake, just make sure you wear your eye protection

Unfortunately my dremel quit on me a few weeks ago. could work though, I'm widening my search..

Dremel is my best friend. We just upgraded the corded one and also got a battery operated one to play with.

Ooh, not thumb tacks...UPHOLSTERY tacks! They're available with heads as small as 4mm and high-domes. If you just want the heads, snip off the shank with side cutters--easy peasy. Check the link and tell me this isn't what you've been looking for.
