Just joined up. Thought I could get some ideas here.

I was working on bikes as far back as I can remember. Got away from it for a long time (military, family stuff, etc), but been back to road bikes after years of mountain bikes.

When I was a kid, we built rat rods, but don't ever recall calling them that. They were just custom toys for us to tear up. And I tore up a few. lol.

Currently I've decided to restore/convert a '68 Hawthorne that my dad picked up at a sale in the early '70s. He modified it a bit with the handlebars. It's basically a Frakenbike right now. I was going to do a full restore, but think I'll do a rat rod just for fun.

Thanks for letting me join.
