While not near as cool as the Hawaiian print in the 80s, I'd rock them!
I like nice shoes....what can I say?
And yes I also have welded in Vans, much more exciting than wearing Docs!

I literally do everything in my vans. Weld, scrap, go to church, ride, whatever! I even have a set of all purple ones when I'm feeling stylish.

Do any of you know how the Vans compare in size to converse?

I think Vans run a little smaller then Converse. I wear Converse composite toe work shoes everyday and love em. I tried on vans once and couldn't find any that fit me.
